Meet Mark Schneider

Mark Schneider, CPA, MST is the Tax Leader of Anchin’s Real Estate Industry Group.

Mark has spent nearly 30 years servicing corporations, partnerships, individuals, and other pass-through entities. His practice includes a deep focus on servicing clients in the real estate industry including owners, developers, real estate managers and other real estate firms. Mark’s real estate client base is diverse and includes multi-family residential properties, mixed-use properties, commercial office buildings, shopping centers and student housing.

Mark has tremendous experience and is a leader in tax consulting and structuring, including providing tax strategies related to real estate development, acquisitions, sales, reorganizations, like-kind exchanges, debt workouts and structuring complex deals. He also has extensive knowledge of multi-state taxation and has clients with properties located throughout the United States. His practice also includes helping clients secure financing, estate planning, budgeting, and developing cash flow strategies.

Mark plays a key role in Anchin’s thought leadership efforts by authoring and reviewing technical articles that educate clients on tax implications. His latest contribution was featured in Bloomberg Tax. In 2022, Mark was honored as a Notable Leader in Real Estate by Crain’s New York.

Mark is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA), the New York Apartment Association (NYAA), and the Commercial Industrial Brokers Society of Long Island.
