Robert Gilman, partner and leader of the real estate group at Anchin, has more than 35 years of experience serving real estate owners, developers and operators in commercial and residential spaces. Gilman advises on day-to-day operations, tax saving opportunities and transactional support that includes due diligence on the acquisition and disposition of real estate. His experience also extends to reviewing and analyzing operating agreements and assisting with client investor relations for both domestic and international investors.

Gilman consults on constantly changing compliance, accounting and tax issues and advises clients on financial and estate planning, budgeting, tax planning and cash flow strategies. Additionally, since many of his clients’ projects are built from the ground up and require intensive reviews of construction and ancillary costs, he is well placed to advise on financial planning for ground-up builds.

Crain’s New York named Gilman among the Notable Leaders in Real Estate for 2021 and 2022. LIBN has presented him with a Business and Finance Award from 2021-2024. Other recognitions for Gilman include being named a Real Estate Power Player by the Long Island Press in 2023 and among the CRE Best Bosses by Globe St. for 2021 and 2022.

A certified public accountant and chartered global management accountant, Gilman holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the State University of New York at Oneonta.
