Penny Bustamante is Anchin’s Chief Operating Officer. She has more than 14 years of experience in organizational leadership, and has spent most of her career in professional services. Penny brings a balanced perspective to all things HR and operations-related, such as strategic planning, improving efficiencies, and building a strong organizational culture.

Penny has had a variety of roles leading focused teams and departments. She brings in-depth, practical expertise across a wide array of operational areas. These include human capital (resource management, leadership development, training, mentoring, feedback, and performance systems), organizational structure and communication, team development, organizational policies, processes and procedures, strategic planning, and technology strategy and implementation. While her experience spans all areas within an organization, her professional focus has been concentrated on tax.

Penny is a Senior Certified Professional through the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-SCP) and is also Lean 6 Sigma green belt certified. In her free time, she is passionate about giving back though volunteering. In 2019, she won a National Governor’s Jefferson Award for Public Service.
