Marlen Preyger, MST is a Managing Director – Tax. She works with entrepreneurial, venture capital, and private equity-backed businesses ranging from start-ups to growing and established technology companies.
Marlen provides tax, consulting and M&A transaction advisory services to founders and businesses. She specializes in assisting her clients with savings opportunities by identifying tax credits and incentives including the Research and Development tax credit, Qualified Small Business Stock (“QSBS”) opportunities, and other state and local initiatives. She has expertise working with various types of clients including SaaS, fintech, health tech, e-commerce, gaming leagues, ad tech, and insurance tech businesses.
During her career, Marlen has become a thought leader for the firm and assists in the development of alerts and other client communications. She is a member of the firm’s Qualified Small Business Stock (QSBS) group, which enables her to stay informed on all accounting and tax updates, and provide the firm with guidance to best assist clients.
Marlen is the founder of the firm’s Women in Tech initiative. She has mentored various junior staff members, and also continues teaching various courses and lunch and learn programs. Marlen also mentors young adults throughout their high school careers as part of the Big Brother/Big Sister program.
In both 2025 and 2026, Marlen was featured in Women We Admire for her outstanding contributions and leadership, and she was honored among “America’s Best-in-State CPAs” by Forbes in 2026.
Marlen is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
