Marlen Preyger, CPA, is a Senior Tax Manager at Anchin. She is a key member of the firm’s Technology Industry Group and works with entrepreneurial, venture capital, and private equity-backed businesses ranging from start-ups to growing and established technology companies.

Marlen provides tax and consulting services to founders and businesses. She specializes in assisting her clients with savings opportunities by identifying tax credits and incentives including the Research and Development tax credit, Qualified Small Business Stock (“QSBS”) opportunities, and other state and local initiatives. She has expertise working with various types of clients including SaaS, fintech, health tech,
e-commerce, gaming leagues, ad tech, and insurance tech businesses.

Marlen is the founder of Anchin’s Women in Tech initiative. She is also an active member of Tech Ladies, a female empowering tech organization that connects professionals in the tech space, as well as NY Tech Alliance.

During her career at Anchin, Marlen has become a thought leader for the firm and assists in the development of alerts and other client communications. She is a member of Anchin’s Qualified Small Business Stock (QSBS) group, which enables her to stay informed on all accounting and tax updates, and provide the firm with guidance to best assist clients.

Marlen contributes to the career development of Anchin’s professional staff as a member of Anchin’s Women Initiative Network (AWIN), through which she participates in firm events, networking, mentoring, and professional development training with other women in the industry. She has mentored various junior staff members during her time at Anchin, along with teaching various courses and lunch and learn programs. Marlen also mentors young adults throughout their high school careers as part of Anchin’s Big Brother/Big Sister program.
