David Emmer is the Chief Innovation and Information Officer at Anchin. David is responsible for all functions of Information Technology, business continuity, as well as cyber and physical security. He has significant Information Technology experience in the consulting, insurance, high-tech and financial services industries. David possesses experience in the engineering and architecture of enterprise and distributed systems, and computer and network security.
David has focused his energy in aligning Information Technology to serve the business by enhancing communications across groups and teams, as well as improving the processes that power technology. Prior to joining Anchin in 2008, David spent almost a decade with a global technology company running their infrastructure and support groups.
David served on the board of directors for the Information Technology Alliance (ITA). The ITA is a group of senior technology leaders from the top accounting firms in the country. The mission of the ITA is to provide a collaborative environment in which leading IT professionals share information and build relationships that significantly enhance the way they and their clients do business.
David also serves on the board of directors for BANY, a New York based youth organization whose mission is to inspire and empower youth through a variety of informal and experiential educational programs.
David received his Bachelor of Science degree from Yeshiva University in Management Information Systems. He has gained multiple advanced certifications, including Cisco CCNA, Microsoft MCSE and was one of the first 50 Microsoft MCSAs in the world.
