Meet Andrew Cohen

Andrew Cohen is a Tax Senior Manager in the State and Local Tax Group, with more than 15 years of experience in public accounting. Andrew has significant experience in servicing high net worth individuals, real estate, retail, and service industries. He focuses on state and local income taxation, state income tax compliance, consulting, controversy, research and advisory services. More specifically, Andrew’s areas of service encompass income and franchise tax nexus reviews; residency audits; due diligence reviews; nonresident withholding; payroll issues and pass-through entity tax analysis studies, among other things. He is also experienced in voluntary disclosure and amnesty agreements; installment agreements, credits and incentives negotiation and analysis; New York City Commercial Rent Tax; Sales and Use Tax and drafting rulings and other correspondences to taxing authorities.

Andrew has presented to audiences on various state and local tax topics and written numerous articles. He has been published in various journals including Tax Notes, Mid Atlantic Real Estate Journal, CPA Practice Advisor, and The Tax Adviser. Andrew is a licensed attorney in New York State and a member of the New York City Bar Association’s State and Local Tax Committee.
