Supreme Court Leaves Affordable Care Act in Place
Last year, the Affordable Care Act (ACA or Obamacare) was challenged by certain states in the U.S. Supreme Court.
In response to this challenge, “protective claims” were filed in select cases in order to ensure your right to receive a refund of certain taxes if the states were successful and Obamacare, or some portion of it, was overturned.
The Supreme Court just ruled on the case determining that there will be no change in the law. As such, no refunds will be due and no further action is required. If you have any questions, please contact your Anchin Relationship Partner.
