Meet John Zummo

John Zummo is a Tax Director in Anchin’s Real Estate Group with over 12 years of experience helping clients turn tax complexity into opportunity. He specializes in tax planning and compliance for multi-generational real estate families, real estate investment funds, high-net-worth individuals, and family offices. John brings a forward-looking approach—analyzing and interpreting current and future tax strategies to help clients achieve their financial and operational goals.

John is involved in all aspects of real estate taxation, including structuring, transactional planning, partnership allocations, and cash flow forecasting. He is recognized for his ability to bridge technical tax concepts with practical business impact, advising clients through acquisitions, dispositions, and entity restructurings. In addition, John contributes to Anchin’s annual year-end tax planning guide and participates in the firm’s real estate-focused webcasts and thought leadership initiatives.

Prior to joining Anchin, John served as a Senior Tax Manager at a regional accounting firm. He was honored by Long Island Business News as a 2024 “40 Under 40” award winner for his professional achievements and community leadership.
