Anchin, Block & Anchin LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Tamir Dardashtian (Principal), Yair Holtzman (Partner) and Christopher Noble (Partner) to the partnership, as of October 1, 2014. With these additions, Anchin has a roster of 54 partners and principals who provide creative, proactive advisory services to clients representing all of the major industries represented in the tri-state area.
Tamir Dardashtian, Esq. is a Tax Principal and licensed attorney in Anchin’s tax department and brings a distinctive outlook and expertise to his clients. He is a member of the Firm’s Private Client Group and its Trust & Estates Services Group. Throughout his career, Tamir has handled all aspects of taxation and planning for high net worth families and large trusts and estates.
Tamir has been involved with setting up creative estate plans and effective wealth transfer strategies for many of Anchin’s long-standing clients. He works closely with trustees and executors, leading them through intricate tax laws, and collaborates with top professionals in the industry. He also specializes in the preparation of complicated estate and gift tax returns, fiduciary income tax returns, and judicial accountings and has rendered expert testimony in Surrogate Court.
He is a frequent speaker on trust and estate topics. Tamir has been a keynote speaker for the Foundation for Accounting Education (FAE) Estate Administration Conference and has authored numerous articles on a variety of subjects. Tamir has published work in the Law Firm Partnership & Benefits Report and Accounting and Financial Planning for Law Firms. He has also been featured in several webinars and quoted in the New York Times.
Tamir is a member of the Estate Planning Council of NYC. In addition, he is currently serving on the Estate Planning Committee of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). Tamir is fluent in Hebrew & conversant in Farsi.
Tamir completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Science – Business Administration with a focus in Accounting & Finance at the Boston University School of Management and completed his Juris Doctor at Brooklyn Law School.
Yair Holtzman, CPA, is a Partner at Anchin, Block & Anchin LLP where he is a member of the Firm’s Tax Credits & Incentives Group and is the Practice Leader of the Research & Development (R&D) Tax Credits Group. He has more than 20 years of experience with national public accounting and management consulting firms focusing on federal tax consulting issues and assisting senior executives with strategy development and implementation.
As a result of his in-depth experience and expertise in the R&D area, Yair has helped clients obtain several hundred million dollars in tax credits and incentives. Yair has designed and implemented procedures and technologies for companies to identify and document their R&D costs and activities in the most efficient and effective manner. He has provided sophisticated tax consulting in the areas of Section 41 R&D tax credits planning, section 199 domestic production activities deductions, and M&A acquisition cost analysis.
Yair’s expertise in the R&D area crosses a wide variety of industries, with special emphasis in Chemicals, Life Sciences, and Technology Services. He has helped companies enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of their R&D capabilities. In addition, he has helped clients improve operational performance, driving tangible results to the bottom line, by assisting them in the area of process and product development.
A frequent author and speaker on the topics of R&D tax credits, business strategy, strategic new product development, and operations excellence, Yair has been published in trade and technical journals and has spoken in academic and industry settings in the United States, Europe and Asia. He is a CPA in NY, NJ, IL and NH; a member of the AICPA, the NY and NJ State Societies of Public Accountants; and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). He is also a member of The American Chemical Society.
Yair obtained his Bachelor’s Degree with High Honors in Chemistry from Brandeis University, a Master’s Degree in Accounting and Taxation with High Distinction from Hofstra University, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University with a focus on Operations Management and Manufacturing, and has completed Graduate Studies in Chemistry at the University of Pennsylvania.
Christopher J. Noble, CPA, is an Accounting and Audit Partner at Anchin, Block & Anchin LLP with more than 15 years of experience. Chris is a member of the Firm’s Technology Industry Group and Construction Industry Group and specializes in working with aggressively growing entrepreneurial businesses to well established privately-held companies.
Chris provides accounting, business and advisory services for clients in various industries including software and technology, construction, retail and wholesale services. In addition to compliance services, Chris has assisted clients with mergers and acquisitions, securing financing and funding, developing business plans, and implementing and advising tax strategies which include tax credits and incentives.
Chris is also deeply involved in the career development of Anchin’s professional staff. He interviews technical prospects, mentors the Firm’s staff, and instructs in-house professional development seminars. Chris is also an integral member of Anchin’s CARE Committee, which organizes and conducts the Firm’s charity as well as recreational events.
Chris obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus in Accounting from Baruch College Zicklin School of Business in 2000 graduating Summa Cum Laude. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). Chris is also a member of leading technology organizations in the tri-state area and frequently speaks at industry events.
