James Anchin is a Senior Advisor of Anchin. He has spent his entire career in public accounting and is a recognized leader in a variety of business, professional, and community endeavors. For over 30 years, Jim has assisted clients in a broad range of industries, identifying the information they need to increase profitability and to minimize tax expense.

Jim became a member of the firm's executive committee in 1982 and was named Managing Partner in 1992. Throughout his tenure, Jim has been a driving force in the firm's success. Anchin is currently ranked amongst the top firms in the country and deemed by INSIDE Public Accounting to be one of America's 25 Best Firms Based on Fiscal and Management Performance.

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). In addition, Jim serves on the board of Directors of the Westchester Division of the UJA-Federation of New York and the Penn-Westchester Club.

For nine years, he served as a member of the Undergraduate Board at Wharton where he endowed scholarships for prospective students. In 1996, he received "Wharton's Distinguished Alumni Award." Jim had the honor of naming the Student Club Room in the new Wharton School building. At Mount Vernon High School, his alma mater, he founded the Linda Anchin Scholarship, a special college scholarship fund for financially challenged students.

He is also a former board member of the Northern Westchester Council for the Arts and has received numerous "Man of the Year" awards from a variety of organizations.

Jim is an accomplished writer who pens a monthly column on business strategies and tax issues for a Westchester County newspaper. He is frequently sought after as a public speaker by both industry and professional groups.
