Educational and Professional Development

AEN will provide complementary continuing professional education classes and resources for members of AEN. We will provide educational opportunities through our CPE for CFOs program, along with our industry-focused teams, producing live seminars and events, webinars, and presentations exclusively for members. Topics will include financial and business reporting, taxation, and other hot button financial issues currently affecting the business community. Anchin is certified to provide continuing professional education credits.

    Reporting to the Owner this person will be an integral part of the senior management team of the Company.

    Job Requirements:
    • The Controller will have an in depth knowledge of successful finance and operations systems and strategies to assure internal controls, sound financial reporting, business planning and forecasting.
    • 10+ years of accounting, systems or finance experience.

    A rapidly growing distributor/provider in the food industry is looking for a Controller who can work with executive management as well as identifying new partners to identify optimal, efficient, and affordable solutions to each of these functional requirements. They are looking for someone who can make cogent recommendations and develop the framework for new tools and standards that can be utilized and expanded upon as the business grows. The right candidate will be fluid and adaptable, comfortable with changing circumstances, and capable of balancing competing priorities.     The Controller will be tasked with identifying and developing the key tools, activities, protocols and data in order to establish how best to institutionalize each function: existing or new full-time staff, outsourced resources, or systems solutions. Future responsibilities will be defined by how readily each of the above functions can be best addressed and organized.

    This position will report to the Vice President of Operations and Finance. The position will be based in New York and will require some travel to upstate New York to work closely with outsourced accounting team.

    • Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial close and reporting on income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow of the 3 individual entities as well as consolidated
    • Provide analysis and recommendations to management based on financial performance

    An E-Commerce company has an immediate opportunity for a top-notch Controller to join their Accounting Team in Morris County. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established entrepreneurial organization in a fast paced, rapidly growing, privately held company.

    • Have solid experience with all aspects of the Controller function, including financial analysis, planning and reporting.
    • Have prior experience in all aspects of bookkeeping, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory control, job costing, bank reconcilement, sales tax and month-end financial reporting.
