Anchin, Block & Anchin LLP Adds Three Directors
New York, NY – The accounting and advisory firm of Anchin, Block & Anchin LLP is pleased to name three new directors -- Sharon Ackerman, Mark Schneider, and Deborah DeVries -- as of October 1, 2007. All three were senior managers at Anchin prior to their recent promotion.
Sharon Ackerman, CPA, is a tax services director with more than 16 years of experience. She represents both corporate and individual clients in a wide range of industries, including real estate, construction, services industries, manufacturing, wholesale, and retail, with their state and local taxes. Sharon specializes in sales tax and residency issues and also handles corporate nexus issues, IRS and state tax examinations.. A graduate of the University of Maryland, Sharon and her family reside in Morganville, New Jersey.
Deborah de Vries is an accounting and audit director with more than 12 years of experience at Anchin. She represents clients in a variety of industries including law firms, finance, insurance and distributors. Deborah is also a member of Anchin’s Compensation and Benefits Services Group, specializing in the audit of pension plans. A graduate of SUNY-Albany, Deborah and her husband reside in Holtsville, New York.
Mark Schneider, CPA, MST, is a director of tax services at Anchin and a member of the Firm’s Real Estate Services Group. His practice covers a wide range of industries and includes a focus on servicing clients in the real estate industry and multi-state taxation, including tax strategies and consulting related to acquisitions, reorganizations and structuring deals. Mark holds a Bachelor’s degree from Boston University and a Master’s degree in taxation from Bentley College. He and his family call Syosset, New York, home.
